The old home of the Elwick Club was situated in Bank Street, opposite the Whitfield Institute, the Club itself was formed in 1883, with a proposed capital of £1,000!

The Elwick club moved to Church Road in July 1973, fifty years ago. To mark this occasion The Elwick Club decorated the club for a celebration.
